It was such a pleasure to chat to Lisa all about Mental Health in pregnancy & postpartum, we really could have talked for hours!.

Check it out below!

Lisa shared a whole lot of insightful and practical information around anxiety, depression, signs to be aware of, baby blues compared to post-natal depression, birth trauma, how to seek help and support, what treatment might look like, support in postpartum and the many contributing factors to our emotional well-being during this time, resources, and how partners or loved ones can help.

As well as providing reassurance that even as a psychologist she isn’t perfect!

You can contact Lisa via the link in her profile on Instagram at @seeds_for_hope

If you need support, the below resources may be helpful:

Cope.org
PANDA helpline: 1300 726 306 / Panda.org.au
Gidget Foundation: 1300 851 758 / Gidgetfoundation.org.au

Your MCH & GP can be a great first point of contact and/or psychologist. As Lisa discussed you don’t have to have a referral and if you’ve given birth in the last 12 months you’re entitled to 3 partially Medicare-funded psychologist sessions.
